On May 3rd 2002, we opened our first store in what used to be a wine cellar in the heart of Copenhagen. Since then a lot has happened...

Dear friends,
as some of you are aware, several news sites have been writing about our 'Kellog' T-shirt, which feature an image of a six-pointed star, allegedly similar to the yellow badge jews were ordered to wear by the German nazis.
First of all the graphic is not the Star of David, and I can assure you that this is in no way a reference to judaism, nazism or the holocaust. The graphic came from working with patchwork and geometric patterns for our spring/summer collection 'State of Mind'.
However when we received the prototype of this particular style we did recognize the resemblance, which is why we decided not to include the star patch on the final production T-shirt.
I assume the image people have reacted to comes from Urban Outfitters´ web site. This must be a photograph of an early prototype.
I am sorry if anyone was offended seeing the shirt, it was of course never our intention to hurt any feelings with this.

For the celebration of 10 years of Wood Wood we have asked 10 friends and like-minded collaborators to help us create an anniversary T-shirt pack. First part of the pack consists of 5 great – and very different – T-shirts that will go for sale beginning May.


We have been working with Mischa Hollenbach for many years and it was only natural to ask him to create a print for our anniversary pack. Mischa is well known for him and his wife’s work with their fellow brainchild, the clothing brand Perks And Mini. Besides putting out Australia’s finest apparel, Mischa also is the driving force behind the art/ music super group The Changes and have exhibited at venues such as Deitch Projects in New York and Mu Gallery in Eindhoven.


With a past as a screen printer for Shepard Fairey and designer at legendary New Yorker brand Supreme, Eric Elms has definitely made a name for himself. Today Elms works as an independent art director and artist and also runs And Press, a small art book publishing company. Lately he has exhibited and published works with his Kilroy imagery that now also inhabits the Wood Wood logo.


Aurélien Arbet and Jérémie Ergy have been working together since 1999 doing photography, design, art direction, curating etc. In 2007 the two French artists founded the independent publishing company JSBJ – Je Suis une Bande de Jeunes – that supports and publish contemporary photography. The T-shirt that they have created truly demonstrates their whereabouts in the art world.


Since we contributed to his Museum Paper some years ago we have kept close contact to Anders Jander aka Museum Studio. Besides being a nice guy, Anders is one of the most talented and highly regarded European artists today. His T-shirt design for the anniversary pack is a good example of his graphic work.


FUZI UV TPK is a veteran graffiti writer, who wrote his name on trains and subways across Europe in the 1990s and mid-2000s, and became known for his ”Ignorant style”, a raw but rather humorous approach. In more recent years, he has developed as a tattoo artist, and he recently released the book Flash Tattoo Collection No. 1, which captures the bizarre world of the French vandal.
